Prior to your First Visit

Read all the information and watch all of the videos under the relevant New Patient section of our website.  Please gather your insurance details, a photo ID and complete the relevant New Patient Forms.

On Your First Visit

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.  On arrival, you’ll check in at the front desk. New Patient paperwork can be found on our website (to expedite the visit) or completed upon arrival. Remember to bring your current insurance card and photo ID to ensure that we have the correct information to file your claims.

You’ll then go to an exam room and have your vitals and other information assessed.  Next, your doctor will go over your health history and current complaints. You’ll review the healthcare service(s) you are to receive and what your exam entails.

After the examination, you may be treated based on the doctor’s discretion, the first visit is now complete. We’ve now collected the preliminary information needed to assess your case. Please plan on spending about 45 minutes to an hour with us. Fifteen minutes may be added to this time if paperwork wasn’t completed ahead of time.

Special Needs First Visit

If the patient is a child or has special needs, we can do the initial consultation and/or take the history over the phone or consider a telehealth consult.  Please let us know if this is something you would like to do when you call to make the initial appointment.

Your Second Visit

On your next visit or subsequent visit, you’ll review our findings from the first visit exam, we may go over any scans or diagnostic reports received.

Depending on your exam findings the medical doctor may prescribe necessary pharmaceutical prescriptions, referrals or home care recommendations.  Your chiropractic doctor may have you perform specific exercises, give home care instructions, make necessary referrals, prescribe nutritional protocols or Foot Levelers functional orthotics. These tools are part of your care and will help achieve the desired results.

We will let you know how we expect to achieve your healthcare goals, how long it may take and the costs involved. If you are a chiropractic patient, you’ll receive a brief assessment and if needed a chiropractic adjustment on this visit. Your second appointment may take 15 to 45 minutes.

Third and Subsequent Visits

Once you’ve decided on your goals for care, we’ll hit the ground running. Each subsequent visit will be results oriented.  We will need to perform periodic evaluations to assess your progress. Your subsequent appointments may take 15 to 45 minutes.

Appointment times and procedures may vary at the discretion of the provider

The care team at AIIH looks forward to partnering with you to achieve your health goals!
