In June 2018, Dr. Henry S. Dowling, Family Medicine Specialist, became the first Bermudian physician to introduce a new health care model called Direct Primary Care (DPC). With DPC you can expect the same great care and family medical services offered over the past 16 years.

What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?
DPC is a health care model which operates under the principle that the doctor-patient relationship is essential in providing high quality, personalized care and allows for increased access to your doctor.
DPC moves from insurance based payments to membership based healthcare making your doctor’s decisions based on your approval, not the insurance company. Under the Direct Primary Care (DPC) Program, patients pay age-adjusted monthly membership fees for 24 hour access at an all-inclusive rate.
DPC Payments
Our DPC medical service fees are not insurance, or a substitute for insurance. Patients with insurance are not excluded from these offerings, rather, it simply means that we aim to no longer bill or seek payment from the insurance company for medical services rendered at our office.
What Does DPC Provide?
DPC provides family and individual counselling, behavioral therapy, stress management, substance abuse assistance, geriatric and adult medicine, gynecological care; infant, child and adolescent care, home health care, sports medicine, occupational medicine and care for work related injuries. He also performs employee health assessments, disability assessments, drug screening and dermatological surgical procedures.
